Bike friends, it’s been far to long since we’ve had our last #bikenyc meetup! Join us Oct 4th from 7-9pm @ Red Lantern Bicycles, 345 Myrtle Ave for a free happy hour and of course the opportunity to reconnect with all of your cycling friends. This October also marks Brooklyn by Bike’s 3rd birthday and my actual birthday so come out and let’s have a toast!

We’ll be meeting up at Red Lantern Bicycles (345 Myrtle Brooklyn NY, 11205), a new cafe & bike shop in Fort Greene started by the guys at Brooklyn Bike and Board. Google Places is sponsoring the happy hour and two $50 gift card giveaways. Details below. A big thanks to both of them!

Enter to win a $50 gift card to Red Lantern Bicycles!

    1. Go to Google.com/Places and select “Start Rating” (you’ll need to create a Google account if you haven’t already).
    2. Fill out this form by 11:59 pm on Sunday, October 2nd: http://goo.gl/ZdQTZ
    3. Review as many New York City places (especially bicycle shops, cafes and/or other bike-friendly places) as you like by 11:59 pm on October 2nd. Each quality review you write will be judged as a new entry. If you’re wondering what we’re looking for in a quality review, here are a few things to consider:
    – Originality – how creative or original is your review style?
    – Capturing the spirit of the place – how well do you describe the atmosphere of the place?
    – Unique view points – do you bring unique or different view points?
    – Writing style – how well written is your review?
    4. We’ll go through all the reviews you write during the contest period and give them points. The 2 entrants with the highest number of points will win a $50 gift card from Red Lantern Bicycles!
    5. Winners will be notified via email on October 3rd and prizes will be handed out at our #bikenyc meetup on October 4th!
You must be 21 to enter. To read the full official rules, click here.
